How Our Events Work

Vanek Whiskey Events are custom tailored to best fit your occasion and setting. Our tastings are typically one to two hours in length and are paired with a meal to follow.

We also recommend that a selection of appetizers be made available to your guests during the nosing itself.

Vanek Whiskey Events works very closely with clients to help them purchase whiskeys that best fit their event. We generally recommend a sampling to include between three and five different whiskies, depending on the expressions chosen.

No location for an event, no problem! Vanek Whiskey Events has partnered with a number of catering facilites around Toronto.

Regardless of the setting, Vanek Whiskey Events will work with you and rental suppliers if needed, to ensure that all the necessary pieces are in place to make your event a great success.

Working with both the connoisseur and the curious, we aim to delight the senses, entertain the individual and educate the palette. We create extraordinary events with an extensive selection of whiskeys to suit every special occasion.

Vanek Whiskey Events was founded by Tom Vanek, a passionate whiskey connoisseur who has spent much of his career making presentations come to life. Tom's conversational and entertaining style of presenting makes even those new to the whiskey world immediately at ease, as he infuses a contemporary and playful spirit at a tasting.

Our events are interactive gatherings where guests participate in a whisky sampling designed to raise awareness of the factors that heighten one's own tasting experience.

Focusing on world whiskies, Tom sees his role as one of an educated tour guide, helping taste travellers better understand the territory they are visiting, while identifying points of interest along the way.
