Vanek Whiskey Events was founded by Tom Vanek in 2011, when he combined his passion for whiskey with his love of making presentations come to life. Tom’s entertaining and relaxed presentation style engages the connoisseur and the curious alike. His contemporary approach to whiskey includes discussing how whiskey is made, the differences and similarities between whiskey styles, how to decode whiskey marketing-speak, whiskey myths and one of his favourites – how psychological and physiological factors influence our flavour perception.
Using fun, enlightening experiments that he has developed, Tom recreates the “ah-ha” moments he experienced when new to whiskey, to help guests see whiskey in a brand new light regardless of their prior experience.
Tom’s enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge about whiskey extends to writing about it as well, which he enjoys as a magazine contributor. Tom is also active on social media, including LinkedIn, where his is in the top 1% of profiles.
